“Sacred Feminine” (2023 - ongoing) tells of my experience of shamanic initiation with a group of women led by the shaman and anthropologist Morena Luciani Russo. For two years we explored the energies of the feminine, activating the intuitive and sensitive part of the subtle energies. And we retraced the symbols and meanings contained in the ancient European tradition of the cult of the Great Mothers. In “The Language of the Goddess”, Marija Gimbutas showed that the culture of ancient Europe had roots in prehistory. A culture of men and women who lived in harmony with nature. If before the life force was expressed by the pregnant female body united with nature, in which the forces of the feminine were united with those of the masculine, afterwards there was a separation: of the feminine from the masculine, of human beings from nature, of the sacred from the profane, and finally of nature from the divine. The rediscovery of the ancient meaning of symbols makes us aware of the existence of an "other" past, expressed by an egalitarian, peaceful society strongly connected to nature, from which we can draw in order to reformulate a cultural paradigm that once again "holds together" and rebalances the feminine and masculine, understood as complementary forces. Rediscovering the sacred feminine means returning to the value of intuition, care and respect for time in natural processes. It means reconnecting with those shamanic energies that bring us back to living life in an ecological way, in a sacred and everyday dimension, allowing us to re-establish a conscious relationship with nature and enabling us to embark on a path of individual and collective healing.
