Orlandini
Ornella Orlandini (1980) is an Italian artist living in Berlin.
She graduated in Education and Antrophology at the University of Turin. After a MA in Photography from the European Institut of Design, in 2021 she is selected for the annual mentoring with Simona Ghizzoni.
In 2015 she exhibited at the Museum Europäischer Kulturen in Berlin 'RÜBER FRAUEN. Segni di una recente emigrazione italiana femminile a Berlino’ with an installation comprehensive photography, interviews and objects, realised for the exhibition ‘Erfüllbare Träume? Italienerinnen in Berlin’ by Rete Donne e.V.
In the same years she collaborated with the artist Jessica Rimondi. As a duo Rimondi&Orlandini, they produce artworks, combining painting and photography. Afterward she experimented different materials, creating mixed media works, integrating her photographs with lead, plaster and ash.
Since 2020 her artistic research, has adopted a performative method, including self-portraiture and performance within the photographic process, drawing inspiration from literature, anthropology and psychology.
Her works have been shown in national and international group exhibitions and are part of the private collection of the Enter Art Foundation.
